Curionica – Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 July 2025

Curionica (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an iOS/iPad app that helps preschool-aged children explore everyday objects through images, short descriptions, and audio narration. We take privacy—especially children’s privacy—seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how parents can exercise their rights.

*“Internal-operations” exception under COPPA §312.2 allows collection of persistent identifiers only to support the app’s functionality, security, and analytics—provided the data is not used for marketing or profiling.

2. How We Use the Information

  1. Operate the service – deliver content, play audio, cache images.
  2. Improve Curionica – aggregated analytics guide new content and features.
  3. Maintain safety & performance – monitor crashes and prevent fraud.

We do not use the data to build advertising profiles, run third-party ads, or track users across other apps or websites.

4. Children’s Privacy & Parental Rights

Curionica is meant for use with parental guidance by children under 13. Under the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), parents can:

  • Review any personal information we may hold about their child
  • Request deletion of that information
  • Refuse further collection or use

Because we collect only anonymous, non-identifiable data for internal operations, verifiable parental consent is not required. If we ever seek to collect personal data (e.g., create user accounts or enable tracking for ads), we will first obtain verifiable parental consent.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will:
